Japanese somen were created many centuries ago
in Miwa, during the Nara era.
We at Marukatsu have inherited these last 1200 years of uninterrupted history
and here in Miwa, in the place where they originated,
we have specialised in the production and sale of somen.
Spring, summer, autumn and winter:
in every season our company
strives to bring our somen to the consumer's table,
somen which boast a rich history and tradition
and follow Japanese food culture
and the recent importance placed on healthy and nutritionally balanced diets.
For this reason, Marukatsu Takada
is looking to promote its products throughout the whole year
and will make every effort to diversify its menu
and develop new products
that meet the changing needs of its consumers.
